Ticking and Tieing

Since all the rest of our corporate management staff is on a plane flying back from Arizona today, I am stuck helping my boss with final audit requests and 10K review. I'm sure most of you can't relate to this (but those accountants out there will). I can not stand ticking and tieing stuff!! That is why I didn't become an auditor. I'm about to go insane. Our 10K is over 100 pages and I have to go through the entire thing. Plus, my fingers hurt becuase my 10-key buttons are so darn hard to push. Just had to vent. Oh the joys at being back to work.

Sleep!!!

Ashlyn has slept through the night for 4 nights straight now. Down around 10pm and she doesn't wake up till 6:30 or when I've had to go wake her up at 7. I'm sure she will still get up plenty. But, atleast I know there is hope. We've been blessed with a good baby. Even when she wakes up, I can feed and/or change her and get her back in her crib within 30 min. of me getting her. So, things are going well.

1 Week Down

I made it through my first week back to work. It was hard. It helped to have my mom watch her the first day (thanks mom). However, Tues. and Wed. after drop off at daycare did include me crying all the way to work. It is weird to be back. I am happy to see my coworkers again. I have some good friends there.

We took Ashlyn for her 3 month pictures yesterday. We had to wake her up to take them. Thankfully, she stayed in a good mood for the first 15 minutes, so we did get some good pics. I paid the extra $5 bucks so that we can send everyone a link to view them online. So, stay tuned. I think they become available in 2 weeks.

Some more pics

Since Ashlyn is allready in 6 month clothes, I am hoping that warm weather stays!!! I bought clothes expecting she would wear them in March or April, not February!!

Happy Family

A picture of the happy family. Taken on Ashlyn's blessing day. It's fitting she has her passy. That thing is her best accessory. We would be lost without it. :)

Here we go...

I'm really bad about keeping in contact with people. So, this is an attempt to maybe help with that. Danny suggested I start this. Hopefully, I can manage to keep this updated atleast once a week. The biggest thing right now is obviously our transition into parenthood with Ashlyn. She will be 3 months old next week and is growing like a weed. She is over 14 lbs now and is probably around 25 ins (at 2 months she was 12lbs 14 oz and 24 in long). Danny is still working at Copyfax as their finance manager. I go back to work Monday at Fidelity (that is Fidelity National Information Services NOT Fidelity Investments :) ). I'm a senior manager in the corporate accounting department. I'll be going back to do SOX stuff and technical research. Not the funnest stuff but it will give me more flexibility and hopefully time with the family. Well. That's it for now. Ashlyn has decided her play time is over and needs some attention from mom.
